WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

As a Director of Business Development, you’ll represent Sullivan in the Bay Area—leveraging your existing relationships and our stellar reputation with blue chip companies to close new business for the agency. You will work closely with a team of seasoned executives with a track record of winning new business. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leveraging existing relationships and cultivating new ones to build a pipeline.
  • Researching, identifying, prospecting, and cultivating new relationships for the agency.
  • Creating strategies to penetrate priority prospects and achieve sales goals.
  • Monetizing your existing relationships.
  • Identifying and attending networking events.
  • Crafting proposals, leading pitches, and negotiating contracts.
  • Sharing feedback from the market on value prop, competitive landscape, etc.
  • Developing excellent relationships with agency leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Established and relevant business network of marketing and sales executives at enterprise level companies in the Bay Area within some of our key verticals: technology, financial services, healthcare, higher education, and professional services.
  • 10+ years of experience in consultative sales with large complex organizations, including experience at a creative or digital agency.
  • Track record of closing 6 and 7 figure deals.
  • Ability to manage the pipeline and all touchpoints through closing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the agency landscape with the ability to identify competitors’ points of difference to ensure a differentiated offering.
  • Knowledge of branding, website design and development, communication strategy.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with an ambitious spirit and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Communication mastery—both speaking and writing.
  • Ability to work entirely remotely.
