New York Climate Exchange

Getting it Done

Building an institution from scratch with the mission of solving a crisis as monumental as climate change is what you might call an ambitious goal. For the people at The New York Climate Exchange (NYCE), ambition was not in short supply. What they needed, however, was our help raising $500 million to fund the initiatives and build the first-of-its kind Global Climate Campus where it will get done.

The right place for progress

NYCE will be headquartered amid the rising waters surrounding Governor’s Island, in the city that is perhaps most uniquely capable of solving the crisis—New York. It’s the one city where the right people, resources, and power can converge, at a moment and place where the stakes couldn’t be higher. This became the core idea driving the story we needed to tell donors.

Capturing NYC’s unique mindset

We refreshed NYCE’s identity to strike the right balance between being fresh and bold, while maintaining a level of sophistication that would resonate with high-value donors. When applied to the case statement, it told an inspiring story of progress and potential—showing how the right people, resources and get-it-done attitude of New York can converge to drive solutions in a truly transformative space.
